Honorable County Commissioners:

As a resident of Northumberland County, I ask you to pass a Resolution of Sponsorship to establish an independent Susquehanna Valley community college to serve the residents of Northumberland, Union, Montour, and Snyder County.  County financial sponsorship means all residents will have access to affordable adult and career education that supports the Valley’s economic and workforce development goals. 

When you sign the Resolution of Sponsorship, new state funding will flow into our region—doubling our investment—growing our local economy and helping Valley citizens improve their individual and family circumstances.  

I therefore support a county Community College Workforce and Economic Development Assessment to fund the establishment and ongoing operation of our own regional community college, so our county can reap the same benefits as other parts of the state and nation that have their own community colleges. 

Vote yes for our own community college as the Path Forward to a prosperous future!
